Conditions
- 1. The Competition shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, and with the Local Rules of Evesham Golf Club as approved by the Championship Committee. The format is 18 holes of Medal Strokeplay. The competition is a CONGU Qualifying Competition, handicap information will be returned to Clubs after completion.
- 2. Entries
- a) Competitors must be Under 14 at 00:00 hours on 1st January 2011, and members of a Worcestershire Union affiliated Golf Club.
- b) There is a handicap limit of TWENTY FOUR.
- c) Championship entries shall be made EITHER On-Line on the County Website OR, by Entry Forms, obtainable from Club Secretaries or Junior Organisers, and must be received on or before the closing date. Return of the Entry Form acknowledges and accepts the conditions of the Competition and certifies that the competitor conforms in all respects to the Rules of Amateur Status. Entry Forms must be counter signed by the Club Secretary or Junior Organiser. Entry Fees must accompany completed Entry Forms, cheque made payable to "Worcestershire Union of Golf Clubs". The Individual Entry Fee is £6. Entries Close 4th August
- d) The Committee may accept late entries at its discretion at £10 per player.
- e) Players must conform to the dress code of Evesham Golf Club. For the Prizegiving, jacket, shirt, tie and trousers are required.
- 3. Time of starting:
- a) Competitors shall start at the time laid down by the Championship Committee (Rule 6-3a). It is a condition of this Competition that, if the competitor arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within five minutes after his starting time, in the absence of circumstances which would warrant waiving the penalty of disqualification as provided in Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole instead of disqualification. Competitors should report to the first tee no later than 5 minutes before their tee time.
- b) The Championship Committee reserves the right to fix and alter starting times.
• 4. Pace of play:
R & A Rule 6-7. The Championship Committee, to promote speed of play, will penalise players causing undue delay, in accordance with the penalties listed in Note 2 to this Rule.
• 5.Advice :
R & A Rule 8-1. A player must not give advice, nor ask for advice, other than from a caddy.
The Championship Committee has introduced a Local Rule:- No parent or relative may caddy for a competitor, nor may they accompany their relation during a round. Penalty for Breach :- Disqualification.
