JUNIOR COACHING REPORT - December 2011
The 2011 -12 winter coaching programme is well underway for our Juniors. This year, the Head Coach, Graham Farr, has employed the services of Paul Darby who is a Sports Conditioning Coach. All our Juniors will receive his personal physical profiling assessment before receiving further coaching from Graham. The difference Paul is making is quite incredible. Juniors now know what to do to improve their levels of flexibility by being given an individual exercise programme. It was clear that without improving their physical conditioning they would find it very difficult to improve to the levels they were aiming for.
Here are a few pictures of our Juniors in action recently.

Oliver Farrell, aged 15, ( now in the England Regional Squad) , plays out a greenside bunker, from the downslope, during part of the demanding skills tests.

Paul Darby shows Graham what can happen if your posture is weak. Having worked with James Robinson, he applies his principles to improve his posture under the watchful eye of Graham Farr.

Meanwhile, in the gym, Rachel ( Paul's assistant) puts Kieron Austin and Tom Wright through their paces during the profiling tests.

Finally, Graham meets all the Juniors together during the lunch period to clarify aims, agree targets for the season as well as ensure they understand how they can improve their nutrition, physical conditioning and winter practice schedules.
The County would like to take this opportunity to thank Worcester G&C for their kind hospitality in hosting our Junior Coaching Programme and for the use of their excellent practice facilities.
