QUALIFICATION
Players must be 55 or over on the day of the competition. Only amateur male members of Golf Clubs affiliated to the Worcestershire Union of Golf Clubs may enter. The handicap limit is 18, but entries will be restricted to the 100 lowest EXACT HANDICAP players, with a ballot on ties if necessary. Players must have nominated a Worcestershire Club as their "Home Club", for C.O.N.G.U. Handicapping purposes. However, if an entrant has played at the Union Meeting of any other County, or has represented any other County, since 1st October 2008, then he is not eligible to compete.
ENTRANCE
FEE Entry Fees must accompany completed Entry Forms, cheques being made payable to "W.U.G.C.".
INDIVIDUAL ENTRY FEE £25 by cheque, £20 if paid on-line via website
ENTRIES
Entry Forms are available from the Secretary of any Club in the Union or from the County website www.worcestershireamateurgolf.co.uk Entries and the Draw will be posted on the website.

RULES
TRANSPORTATION
The competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, and with the Local Rules of Kidderminster Golf Club, as approved by the Championship Committee. The Championship is a Qualifying Competition within the C.O.N.G.U. definition. Decisions by the Championship Committee are final.
A player shall walk at all times during a stipulated round. Caddies are permitted. Buggies are not permitted, unless a player is Disabled, as defined by Disability Discrimination Law.
PRIZES
The Championship, Nevil Carroll Salver, Replica Shield, and Voucher will be awarded to the player with the Best Gross Score. The player with the Best Nett Score for the Championship will be awarded the Denis Hayes Salver and Voucher.
In addition there are Gross and Nett Vouchers for the best scores in the age groups 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and Over 70.
A player can only win one prize.
TIES
In the event of a tie for the Championship there will be an immediate play-off over holes nominated by the Championship Committee. In the event of a further tie, play will continue over the same holes on a sudden death basis. For all other prizes the competitor with the better or best score over the last 9, 6, 3 or final hole will be declared the winner.
QUALIFIERS for MATCHPLAY
The players with the best 8 Gross scores will qualify to play in the Worcestershire Senior Matchplay Championship.
